Mass Effect 2 is a third-person role playing game with elements of a shooting game, much like its predecessor, Mass Effect. Like the first game, the player has the ability to pause the game in battle and issue commands to the player's allies. The player also has the ability to upgrade their armor and weapons. Many changes were made over the first instalment, such as removing the confusing upgrade system for weapons and armor, and introducing an ammo constraint for weaponry in lieu of an overload mechanic.
The game allows the player to play as their player from the previous game, or start as a whole new Commander Shepard. Some of the ways to customize the character include selecting their gender, race, and history.
Reception[]
Mass Effect 2 received generally positive reviews. Gamepro gave the game a 4.5 out of 5, stating that "the games' build up was great but the ending left disappointment".
